Artist Statement
My art gives space for imagination. My imagination gives space for art.
Yatska is Artist, Animator and private Art Teacher.
She was born in a family of professional artists in Elista. Kalmykia, RUSSIA.
Her grandmother, P. Emchegirova, on her maternal side, is the first female artist in the motherland – Kalmykia in Russia. Her father, O. Kikeev – Honored Artist of RUSSIA, also an artist-painter. Their Art are in museums and private collections around the world.
Yatska Sokuleva graduated from Animation and Art College with Honors in 2010 in Moscow, RUSSIA.
Then she took an Animation and Art courses lead by Disney and Pixar animators in 2011-2013 in Moscow, RUSSIA also in San Francisco Bay Area, CA, USA.
She had been in CG industry as an artist since 2000. Yatska worked as a freelance contractor creating Computer Graphics and Animations for her customers.
Yatska also teaches Art for all ages and shares her talent and experience with her students.
Yatska Sokuleva lives and works in San Jose, CA, USA.
