The story is divided into two books about my dates. All the dates in both volumes are depicted in the form of COMIC STRIPS. Since the comic is based on real events and all the characters are real people, it was decided that all the characters in the comic would be anthropomorphic CATS, to avoid any coincidences and potential harm to anyone’s reputation.
Therefore, you will see how the cat Kate (my alter ego) went on dates with other cats and how her story ended – all of this in PICTURES IN THE FORM OF A COMIC IN TWO VOLUMES.
At the end of EACH book, I made a summary and conclusions in the form of LESSONS that I learned at that time.
At the end of the SECOND book, I wrote a A Practical Guide to Online Dating, where you will learn why you should use online dating sites, when and how to create an account there, how to maintain your account, how to handle online correspondence, and I also paid a lot of attention to safety measures, both online and especially when meeting in person.
Since the content of both books, From Dating To Wedding, is based on real events, I believe they hold special value, as the reader can learn about the different types of dates that actually happen.

Why I decided to write
From Dating To Wedding
Once upon a time, my friends suggested I write a book about my dating experiences. Since I’m not a writer, but an artist, I decided not to write it, but to draw a comic book instead.
In 2019, I started with pencil sketches,
by May 2024, all the drawings were done.
Another six months went into writing the comments for both books, as well as the lessons I learned from dating and writing a guide on online dating.
All in all, the work took 4 years and 8 months.
The result:
- I drew about 2,800 pictures.
- I made 275 posts on Instagram and Facebook.
- I created a Patreon account.
- I updated my website – yatska.net.
And now, the fruits of my righteous labor are presented in two volumes for your judgment, dear reader!
If my two-volume work can answer even one of your burning questions, I will happily admit that my efforts were not in vain!

About Yatska Sokuleva
I have been studying music since childhood, and after 16 years of education, I graduated from the conservatory with a degree in piano and then started teaching music lessons.
However, despite all this musical background, my father, Ochir Kikeev, a famous painter in Kalmykia, once asked me:
– Sweetheart, when you feel bad, do you play the piano or do you draw?
– I draw, Dad.
– Then you’re not a musician. You’re an artist! – he said with satisfaction.
Life proved that my father was right. It turned out that I had to leave music and focus on drawing. Later, I graduated with honors from an Animation College in Moscow and, after moving to the United States, began teaching art.
In 2024, I published my first two-volume comic book “From Dating to Wedding,” based on my personal dating experiences in California.
A translation of the two volumes into Russian is planned for 2025.
